Planeworthy ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Authentication is handled by a third-party provider (Clerk) and we do not store your password.

Aircraft and maintenance data

You provide maintenance records, oil analysis reports, documents, and other aircraft-related data. This is the core of what Planeworthy stores and organizes for you.

Usage data

We use privacy-focused analytics (Plausible) to understand how the site is used. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. We may also collect basic server logs (IP address, request timestamps) for security and debugging purposes.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or banking details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the Planeworthy service
To process AI analysis of your uploaded documents and oil reports
To send you notifications about upcoming maintenance and due dates
To communicate with you about your account and service updates
To respond to support requests

What We Will Never Do

Sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties
Use your data to train AI or machine learning models
Share your maintenance records without your explicit consent

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. We maintain automated daily backups with point-in-time recovery. For more details, see our Security page.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — View all data we hold about you at any time through your account
Export — Download your complete data as CSV, PDF, or JSON at any time
Delete — Request full deletion of your account and all associated data. We will remove everything, including backups, within 30 days
Correct — Update or correct any inaccurate information in your account

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your account becomes read-only and your data is preserved. We only delete data when you explicitly request it.

Stripe — Payment processing
Plausible — Privacy-focused website analytics (no cookies, no personal data)
Sentry — Error monitoring (no personal data is sent)

Cookies

Planeworthy uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookie-free.

Children's Privacy

Planeworthy is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through a notice on the site. Your continued use of Planeworthy after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
